SHINee kicks off their new era. On June 1, the K-pop icons released their sixth mini album, Atmos, alongside the official music video for its title track, marking their first group release since 2023’s HARD and reaffirming the polished sonic identity that has defined their nearly two-decade career.

Released via SM Entertainment, the six-track project sees SHINee lean into the sleek electronic textures and genre-blending precision that first made them standouts, while pushing their sound into sharper and more contemporary territory.

The title track, “Atmos,” anchors the mini album with an electronic house foundation built around glitchy synths, pulsing basslines and an ever-shifting arrangement. Dreamy but rhythmically urgent, the song captures the euphoric sensation of complete connection, with lyrics centered on the heightened emotions that come with a love so consuming it feels weightless. The song has been released alongside an accompanying music video that mirrors the song’s emotional tension, following each member through separate narratives that gradually intertwine before converging into a shared forward momentum.

Anticipation for Atmos had already reached fever pitch before release. From May 29 to May 31, SHINee previewed all six tracks during their eighth solo concert, The Trilogy I – 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT], held across three nights at Seoul’s KSPO DOME in Olympic Park. The concerts gave fans their first live introduction to the material.

The release also extends SHINee’s remarkable run under SM Entertainment. Since debuting with “Replay” in 2008, the group has consistently balanced experimentation with commercial success, becoming the first K-pop act to hold a solo concert in London and landing among Billboard’s year-end World Albums Artists Top 10. Their last two full-length releases, Don’t Call Me and HARD, topped iTunes album charts in 47 and 43 regions respectively.

SHINee’s Atmos is now available on all major streaming platforms.
