XngHan is making a sharper, more expansive statement with Glow, the debut mini album from his evolving XngHan&Xoul project. Released today (April 27) through SM Entertainment, the five-track set arrives nearly nine months after “Waste No Time” introduced his solo direction, but this latest release pushes decisively further—toward club-ready electronic pop, collaborative performance, and a broader artistic identity.
Rather than simply extending his debut, Glow reframes it. Anchored by its title track, “Glow,” the project leans into house-pop with urgent synth lines, a forceful bassline, and a polished dance-floor structure. Lyrically, the song centers on rediscovering joy and purpose through connection, positioning youth not as nostalgia, but as motion.
XngHan’s own description reflects that duality. “I’m really happy to share a wide range of music under the XngHan&Xoul brand,” he said. “The album is filled with sounds I love – it’s music you can dance to, but it’s not just about the dance. It also has a calm, more serene side. I believe good things are always better when shared, so I can’t wait for fans to enjoy it too.”
Glow moves across house, disco, and Afropop textures without sounding fragmented, using genre shifts to map emotional progression. Opener “Dancing Anyway” begins with soft piano and airy synth layers before blooming into electro-disco, establishing vulnerability as a starting point rather than an afterthought. “Light The Fire” pivots toward liberation, pairing futuristic disco rhythms with themes of rejecting external pressure. “Wishlist” introduces breezier Afropop tones, while closer “Lovin’ On Me” redirects inward, ending the record with self-worth instead of spectacle.
Performance remains a key part of the concept. For this era, XngHan expands the XngHan&Xoul format by collaborating with two new dancers. That approach was previewed during the “2026 XngHan&Xoul Fanmeeting [Let’s Glow]” in Seoul, where he introduced the album live on April 26.
