Lil Durk is back with Deep Thoughts, his highly anticipated ninth studio album. After months of delays and speculation, the project is finally here, marking his first full-length release since Almost Healed and Nightmares in the Trenches in 2023. Released through Only the Family, Alamo Records, and Sony Music, Deep Thoughts sees Durk reflecting on his journey, tackling personal struggles.
Originally, Durk had planned to follow up Almost Healed with Love Songs 4 the Streets 3, but he changed direction, instead crafting Deep Thoughts. In the lead-up to the album, he dropped two singles, “Old Days” and “Went Hollywood for a Year,” before officially kicking off the album rollout with “Turn Up a Notch” and “Monitoring Me.” However, his legal troubles caused multiple delays, pushing the album’s release to March 28, 2025.
With 17 tracks and collaborations featuring Future, Lil Baby, Jhené Aiko, and Hunxho, Deep Thoughts is set to be one of Lil Durk’s most personal and introspective projects yet. Here’s our ranking of the standout tracks from Deep Thoughts.
