“Capable of Love” — PinkPantheress
We kick off our weekly adventure through new releases with PinkPantheress. The British singer released the new single “Capable of Love” from her upcoming debut studio album “Heaven Knows.” The song had previously seen various versions and demos over the years, including an online demo in 2021 and two re-recorded versions leaked between 2022 and early 2023.
“Is It Love” — Loreen
Five months after her Eurovision Song Contest win, Loreen returns with the new single “Is It Love.” The song was produced by Rami, known for a string of hits from Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” to Nicki Minaj’s “Starships.” Loreen performed the song live for the first time on Thursday at the 2023 Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala, a Dutch television awards ceremony.
“Say My Grace” — Offset ft. Travis Scott
Offset’s second solo project, “SET IT OFF,” was released last Friday, featuring several notable collaborations. Among them is “Say My Grace” with Travis Scott, continuing their history of working together. The two rappers have shared the stage on multiple tracks over the years, including “Legacy” (2019) and “Ghostface Killers” (2017). Offset gave fans a sneak peek of the song during an Instagram live in April, and the duo performed it live for the first time during Travis Scott’s Rolling Loud Thailand performance. In Thailand the two filmed the music video for “Say My Grace.”
“Pretty Girl” — Ice Spice & Rema
Announced just days before its release, “Pretty Girl” marks the first collaboration between American rapper Ice Spice and Nigerian sensation Rema. Tonight Ice Spice is performing on the first episode of season 49 of Saturday Night Live, so we can expect a first live performance of “Pretty Girl.”
“DArkSide” — Bring Me The Horizon
Concluding our weekly musical journey, we have Bring Me The Horizon’s “DArkSide,” the fifth single from their upcoming album, “POST HUMAN: NeXt.” The song delves into the internal struggles we often face.
