5 Seconds of Summer have returned to the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, and this time, they’ve made history. The Australian group’s new album, Everyone’s A Star!, launches at No. 1 this week, becoming their sixth consecutive studio album to debut at the summit. With this milestone, 5SOS become the first act in ARIA history to reach No. 1 with their first six studio albums.

The band’s chart-topping run began in 2014 with their self-titled debut, followed by Sounds Good Feels Good (2015), Youngblood (2018), Calm (2020), and 5SOS5 (2022). Their 2014 live album LiveSOS also performed strongly, peaking at No. 7.

This week also marks a major return for one of Australia’s most enduring rock icons. The 40th-anniversary edition of Jimmy BarnesFor The Working Class Man debuts at No. 2 on the main chart, while also securing No. 1 on both the Vinyl and On Replay charts. The original album dominated the mid-1980s, spending seven weeks at No. 1. Across four decades, Barnes has accumulated a record-breaking 16 No. 1 albums as a solo artist, plus six more with Cold Chisel — the most No. 1 titles of any artist in ARIA history.

On the Singles Chart, rising British star Olivia Dean celebrates a breakthrough moment as “Man I Need” climbs to No. 1. Notably, Dean dominates this week’s chart with six songs inside the top 50, while her previous chart-topping album The Art of Loving holds at No. 4.
