Ariana Grande has scored another major international milestone as her new album, petal, debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia. The achievement marks her sixth chart-topping album in the country.

With petal, Grande returns to the summit following a remarkable run that includes My Everything (2014), Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), thank u, next (2019), and eternal sunshine (2024). She also reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2025 alongside Cynthia Erivo with the Wicked: For Good soundtrack. In addition to leading the main albums ranking, petal also opens at No. 1 on Australia’s Vinyl Chart, highlighting strong demand across both digital and physical formats.

The album’s success extends beyond the albums chart. On this week’s ARIA Singles Chart, lead single “hate that i made you love me” climbs back to its previous peak of No. 2 after rising from No. 6, while the title track “petal” debuts at No. 5. Ariana Grande also places another 10 songs from the album inside the Top 50.

The latest chart victory adds to an already extraordinary launch week for petal. Released on July 31, the 12-track project generated 62.19 million Spotify streams worldwide on its first day, with every song entering the Daily Global Spotify Chart simultaneously. The title track debuted at No. 1 globally with 7.822 million streams, making it Ariana Grande’s second Global Spotify No. 1 of 2026 after “hate that i made you love me.” Within days, the album surpassed 500 million total streams while Grande remained the platform’s most-streamed artist worldwide.

Commercial momentum has continued to build throughout the week. Early projections indicate petal is headed for a Billboard 200 debut of more than 300,000 equivalent album units in the United States, positioning it among the biggest album openings of 2026. Ariana Grande has also expanded the era by releasing official instrumental and a cappella editions of the album, alongside several digital-exclusive versions designed to keep fans engaged as opening-week sales continue.
