After a close battle for the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200, Ariana Grande is now the frontrunner ahead of Playboi Carti. In midweek projections, Hits Daily Double reported that only 1,000 units separated “Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead” and “Music.” Carti, whose album continues to rack up millions of streams, was confident he would go “three for three.” However, the publication noted that Ariana picked up significant momentum and is now poised to return to No. 1 with her seventh album.

According to the final predictions published by Hits Daily Double, Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine (Deluxe) moved 137,000 units, boosted by the success of tracks like “Twilight Zone” and “Dandelion.” Playboi Carti’s Music is projected to drop to No. 2 with 92,000 units after spending its first two weeks atop the chart. Two other new entries are set to debut in the top four: NAV’s OMW2 REXDALE is aiming for the top three (83,000 units), while Lil Durk’s Deep Thoughts lands at No. 4 with 64,000 units.
