Bebe Rexha is preparing to enter a new chapter as an independent artist. Over the past few days, the pop singer has wiped her Instagram clean, updated her bio to “#extradirty,” and shared a series of provocative images paired with a simple question: “are you dirty?” The move has the familiar feel of a pop reset, but this time it arrives with deeper significance.
She also directed fans to a newly launched website, areudirty.com, which functions as a sign-up hub for updates tied to her next release. While no music has been officially announced, the rollout points to a carefully staged reintroduction.
The tease follows Rexha’s confirmation that she is no longer signed to Warner Records. In an update shared with fans, she revealed that she has partnered with the independent label EMPIRE, a move she framed as essential to regaining creative control. “Independent now,” she wrote, calling the shift both liberating and overdue. In one image tied to the new era, Rexha spelled out her mindset in blunt terms, describing herself as “unapologetic, hotter, richer, confident.”
The transition builds on conversations she began having with fans last year. Rexha openly discussed taking her time with new music, explaining that she was writing without pressure and exploring a wide range of dance sounds. She hinted at rhythmic club tracks, punk-leaning dance songs, and unreleased material previewed during her Coachella 2024 set. Her most recent album, Bebe, released nearly three years ago, marked a shift toward disco and dance-pop.
