The Met Gala 2025 brought together some of the world’s most famous names in music, film, fashion, and art for a night of bold style and cultural celebration. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, this year’s event honored the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, with a theme and dress code that encouraged attendees to explore the history and creativity of Black fashion through custom tailoring.

As always, the blue carpet was the first runway of the night — and this year’s looks did not disappoint. Celebrities embraced the theme with powerful silhouettes, rich fabrics, and personal style statements that paid tribute to both tradition and innovation. From sharp suits to reimagined formalwear, the fashion was as thoughtful as it was stunning.

K-pop star Jennie returned to the Met Gala, exuding elegance in a stunning tuxedo, Sabrina Carpenter made a daring style statement in a rich burgundy tuxedo-inspired bodysuit featuring sharp tailoring, a plunging neckline, and sparkling silver buttons. Dua Lipa stunned in a striking black ensemble adorned with sequins, cut-out detailing, and luxurious black feathers. Lisa brought playful sophistication in a black lace blazer paired with sheer Louis Vuitton monogrammed tights and embellished underwear. Many pop superstars shone on the blue carpet, including Ciara, Pharrell Williams, Bebe Rexha, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Teyana Taylor, FKA Twigs, Madonna, Rosalía, Shaboozey, and more.

Here are some of the most striking photos from the 2025 Met Gala blue carpet.
