Brandi Carlile delivered a stripped-back performance of “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl LX pregame ceremony. The performance took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, ahead of the championship matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

Taking the field alone with an acoustic guitar, Carlile was joined by SistaStrings.

In interviews leading up to the game, Carlile explained that she approached the song as a prayer rather than a celebration. She spoke openly about fragile hope, humility, and the idea of potential rather than perfection.

In a pregame lineup that also featured Charlie Puth performing the National Anthem and Coco Jones delivering “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” Carlile’s rendition provided a reflective pause before kickoff.
