After years of speculation and scattered releases, Cardi B has finally confirmed that her long-awaited second studio album, titled Am I The Drama?, will arrive on September 19, 2025. The album marks her first full-length release since her Grammy-winning debut, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018. That debut made history. Invasion of Privacy debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, sold 255,000 units in its first week, and earned Cardi the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album—making her only the second female rapper ever to win in the category. The project spawned two No. 1 hits: “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It”, and secured Cardi’s place as one of the most impactful voices in the hip-hop scene.

Now, seven years later, Cardi B returns with her sophomore album—and here is everything you need to know.

New Era, New Records

Am I The Drama? isn’t out yet, but it’s already rewriting the record books. With “WAP” and “Up” confirmed on the tracklist, Cardi becomes the first female rapper in history to release two albums that have each spawned multiple Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles. That puts Am I The Drama? in rare company—even before fans hear it in full.

Her latest single, “Outside,” debuted live at the Cannes Spotify Beach Party on June 18 and had an immediate impact, reaching the top spot on U.S. iTunes and Apple Music. Overall, Am I The Drama? includes 23 new tracks, all marked explicit.

What’s (and Isn’t) on the Album

In a notable departure from her past collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and GloRilla, Cardi has revealed that Am I The Drama? will not include any female rap features. Instead, she’s turning the spotlight squarely on herself—and reportedly working with new male collaborators yet to be revealed.

Surprisingly, the album will not include recent singles like “Enough (Miami)”, “Like What (Freestyle),” or even her 2023 Megan collaboration “Bongos.”
