Charli XCX is entering a new creative era. The British pop innovator has announced her upcoming single “House” (out Nov. 10), featuring John Cale, as the first release from her forthcoming album created for the soundtrack of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights. The track, teased by Charli on social media with the caption “House featuring John Cale. The first offering from my album for ‘Wuthering Heights.’ Yours, Monday,” will mark her first musical release since the global success of Brat.
The upcoming film Wuthering Heights, written and directed by Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, Saltburn), stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff. Slated for release on February 11, 2026, in the UK and February 13 in the U.S., the film promises a darkly sensual reimagining of Emily Brontë’s 1847 Gothic novel, exploring obsession, desire, and revenge through a modern psychological lens.
