Charli xcx closed out the second night of Lollapalooza 2026 with one of the festival’s most electrifying performances, blending the chaos of Brat with the bold experimentation of her newly released album Music, Fashion, Film. The British star headlined Chicago’s Grant Park on Friday (July 31), just hours after making UK chart history with her latest No. 1 album.
The performance capped a whirlwind day for Charli, whose eighth studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, officially debuted atop the UK Albums Chart, making her the first British female artist ever to score two new No. 1 albums in the same calendar year. Riding that momentum, she transformed the T-Mobile Stage into a nonstop pop rave, performing opposite The Smashing Pumpkins while thousands packed the festival’s main field.
Opening with “Oblivion (Intro)” before launching into an extended version of “Rock Music,” Charli wasted no time introducing fans to her latest era. The set featured the live debuts of “House,” “Dying for You,” and the complete version of “No One Lasts Forever.”
Alongside fresh material, the singer leaned heavily into the Brat era that reshaped her career over the past two years. Crowd favorites including “Apple,” “360,” “365,” “Sympathy is a Knife,” “Guess,” and “Club Classics” kept the audience moving from start to finish, while “Von Dutch” became one of the night’s standout moments as Charli stepped onto the barricade to perform inches away from fans.
