Charli XCX continues to tease her upcoming album Music, Fashion, Film in increasingly unconventional ways. Just hours after announcing a series of global listening events, the pop star shared handwritten lyric snippets from every song on the record through her private B-side Instagram account, offering fans another glimpse into the project before its July 24, 2026 release.

The posts feature fragments that range from playful and self-aware to deeply introspective, reinforcing Charli’s claim that Music, Fashion, Film will explore new emotional territory rather than revisit the sound of BRAT.

One of the excerpts reads: “Me and my friends / we go out / we take pictures / and make stuff together / and sometimes we cry / we kiss each other / real incestous vibes.” Another preview shifts toward identity and vulnerability. “I don’t feel embarrassed / even if I suck, I’m always / craving an experience / that feels dangerous… maybe it’s the only way to feel like I’m not actually me.”

Perhaps the most sharply satirical snippet comes in just a few lines: “I’ll buy some jewelry / a personality / a whole backstory… card declined.”

The latest teasers arrive as anticipation for Music, Fashion, Film continues to build. Recently, Charli released “Wink Wink” as the album’s third single following “Rock Music” and “SS26.”

On Monday (June 6), she also unveiled “The Listening Events,” a worldwide series of independent cinema screenings scheduled between July 9 and July 11, allowing fans in cities including New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, São Paulo, Mexico City and Milan to hear the album before its official release.
