Charli XCX has returned to the top of the UK Albums Chart. Her soundtrack project Wuthering Heights debuts at No. 1 this week, becoming her third chart-topping album in the UK.

The new release joins 2022’s CRASH and 2024’s BRAT in Charli’s growing tally of UK No. 1 records. It also marks her eighth UK Top 40 album overall, a run that stretches back to 2015’s SUCKER and includes No. 1 Angel, Charli, how i’m feeling now and 2025’s remix set Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat.

Released on February 13, 2026 via Atlantic Records, Wuthering Heights serves as the official soundtrack to Emerald Fennell’s 2026 film of the same name. What began as a single commission evolved into a full-length companion album after Fennell approached Charli in late 2024. Inspired by the screenplay, Charli expanded the brief into a complete body of work, recording much of it during the global BRAT Tour with longtime collaborator Finn Keane.

Lead single “House,” featuring Welsh musician John Cale, signaled a departure from the abrasive club textures of BRAT.

Meanwhile, on the Official UK Singles Chart, “Rein Me In” by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean climbs to No. 1. The track becomes Fender’s first UK chart-topper and Dean’s second.
