Demi Lovato turned her April 24 stop at Madison Square Garden into a multi-era celebration, bringing out surprise guests JoJo and Jutes during a sold-out night on the It’s Not That Deep Tour. The show doubled as both a career retrospective and a spotlight on her current club-driven sound, landing just hours after the release of her deluxe album expansion.

Midway through the set, JoJo joined Lovato for a duet of “Too Little Too Late,” revisiting one of the defining pop records of the 2000s. Crowd reaction peaked immediately, as the two traded vocals in a performance that leaned into nostalgia. Later in the night, Jutes appeared for a stripped-back rendition of “Iris,” the Goo Goo Dolls classic tied to their 2025 wedding. That moment shifted the energy inside the arena, turning a 20,000-capacity venue into something far more intimate as the audience joined in.

Earlier that same day, Lovato released It’s Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be), a deluxe edition that expands her ninth studio album with eight additional tracks. The updated project leans further into house, EDM, and late-night pop textures, building on the foundation of the original October 24, 2025 release, which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and marked her 10th top 10 entry.

Momentum for this era has been consistent since the tour’s launch on April 13 in Orlando. Opening with high-energy cuts like “Fast” and “Kiss,” Lovato has blended catalog staples including “Heart Attack” and “Cool for the Summer” with newer material, creating a setlist designed for both longtime fans and a dancefloor-focused audience.
