Demi Lovato is celebrating Selena Gomez’s life and latest album. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Grammy-nominated singer revealed that she not only listened to Gomez’s new album I Said I Love You First—recorded with fiancé Benny Blanco—but also found a personal favorite track.
“I have listened to the album, really, really great job,” Lovato said on the show. “Loved the songs on it. ‘Bluest Flame’ was my song.” She then reflected on Selena’s engagement to Benny: “I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s engaged, and I just wish her the best.”

Demi and Selena’s careers have followed similar paths. Both artists came up through the Disney Channel in the late 2000s, each carving out separate but equally influential journeys in music.
Most recently, Selena released I Said I Love You First, an album that traces the steps of her relationship with Benny Blanco—from their early encounters to their engagement. With Blanco by her side both in life and in the studio, the project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned hit singles such as “Call Me When You Break Up” with Gracie Abrams and “Sunset Blvd.”
Meanwhile, Demi’s words arrive as she prepares for her own major comeback. Her new album It’s Not That Deep is due out October 24 via Island Records. The project, which includes singles “Fast” and “Here All Night,” finds Lovato returning to a dance-pop sound after exploring heavier rock influences on 2022’s Holy Fvck.
