Demi Lovato proved once again why live performance unpredictability rarely throws her off. During her May 13 concert in Seattle, the singer briefly encountered a sound glitch mid-show but immediately turned the awkward moment into comedy, laughing before telling the crowd, “oops… at least you know the mic is on,” while seamlessly continuing the performance.
Fan-shot videos from the concert quickly spread across social media, with audiences praising Lovato’s relaxed reaction and professionalism onstage. Rather than stopping the show or appearing frustrated, she leaned into the technical issue with humor.
The Seattle stop arrived during the ongoing It’s Not That Deep Tour, which has become one of Lovato’s most ambitious live eras in years. Since opening April 13 in Orlando, the tour has balanced high-intensity dance production with emotionally reflective moments pulled from every stage of her career. Songs like “Fast,” “Kiss,” and “Swine” sit alongside longtime fan favorites including “Heart Attack,” “Cool for the Summer,” and “Sorry Not Sorry.”
Momentum around the run intensified on April 24 when Lovato headlined Madison Square Garden for a sold-out performance that doubled as a multi-era celebration. During that show, JoJo surprised fans with a duet of “Too Little Too Late,” while Jutes joined Lovato later in the night for a stripped-back version of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”
That same day, Lovato expanded her latest era with the release of It’s Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be), a deluxe edition of her ninth studio album. The updated project added eight new tracks and pushed even further into house-pop, EDM, and club-inspired production. Originally released on October 24, 2025, It’s Not That Deep debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, becoming Lovato’s 10th top-10 album in the United States.
