Last night, Taylor Swift performed the first of three shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The concert, opened by Paramore and Mette, drew an impressive crowd of 88,000 people, including several notable faces. Among the attendees were Travis and Jason Kelce, Irish actor Nicola Coughlan, hairstylist Jonathan Van Ness, and Cara Delevingne, one of Taylor’s closest friends. Adding a flair of royalty was Prince William, who accompanied his children. The show featured some surprises. Taylor debuted two new microphones, one blue and gold and one pink. During the “Red” era, she performed in the iconic outfit comprising the black hat and the white t-shirt featuring the phrase ‘Who’s Taylor Swift anyway? EW.’ However, fans’ excitement peaked during the “Reputation” segment.

As usual, during the “Reputation” set, Taylor thrilled fans with hits like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready for It?”. While performing, the Grammy-winning singer made a hand gesture indicating the number two, which ignited fan speculation about its meaning. Many are convinced it’s a clue about the upcoming release of “Reputation (Taylor’s Version).” “Obviously I’m not clowning for ‘Reputation (TV)’ but this has to mean something, let’s be fr,” a Swiftie shared on X/Twitter. Another noted, “Exactly six years ago on June 22, 2018, Taylor was at Wembley for the ‘Reputation’ tour, and now she’s here again six years later for the Eras Tour. Rep TV anyone????”
In recent years, Taylor has released four re-recorded albums following her masters dispute with Scooter Braun. The most recent, “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” arrived in October 2023. Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the re-recorded version of “Reputation,” looking for every clue and hint Taylor might drop. The original album was released in 2017, but there are indications that Taylor has already re-recorded at least part of it. Last summer, Prime Video unveiled the trailer for the film “Wilderness,” featuring “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version).” Additionally, Season 2 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” included a snippet of “Delicate (Taylor’s Version).”
In 2024, Taylor has already released her record-breaking eleventh studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which is currently topping the Billboard 200 for an eighth consecutive week. Despite this recent release, it wouldn’t be unusual for the pop superstar to treat fans with multiple releases in a single year. “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” was released just three months after “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” Back in 2020, Taylor released the sister albums, “Folklore” and “Evermore,” within five months of each other.
As fans continue to scrutinize every detail surrounding Taylor Swift, she is gearing up for her second show in London tonight.
