Dua Lipa had an unexpected fan interaction during the 2026 Sunny Hill Festival after someone handed her a copy of Dua Lipa: The Unauthorized Biography to autograph. The brief exchange, captured on video and widely shared across social media, quickly became one of the weekend’s most viral moments.
While greeting fans in Pristina, Kosovo, the singer was presented with Dua Lipa: The Unauthorized Biography, written by journalist Caroline Sullivan and published in 2023 without Dua Lipa’s involvement or endorsement. Footage shows the pop star pausing with a visibly surprised expression before turning the book over to read the back cover, seemingly confirming what she had been handed.
Rather than refusing the request, Lipa smiled, signed the book and continued interacting with fans. Her composed reaction immediately resonated online, with viewers turning the clip into memes while praising the singer for handling the awkward moment with grace and humor.
The lighthearted exchange unfolded during a particularly meaningful weekend for Dua Lipa. Held from July 31 through August 2, Sunny Hill Festival remains one of her most personal projects, having been co-founded in 2018 alongside her father, Dukagjin Lipa. Named after the Pristina neighborhood where the family once lived, the festival supports the Sunny Hill Foundation’s work in education, arts and opportunities for young people in Kosovo while attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the world each year.
Unlike previous editions, Dua Lipa did not headline the festival in 2026. Instead, she spent the weekend enjoying performances alongside fans, family and friends while remaining highly visible throughout the grounds. Organizers confirmed the sixth edition sold out completely after opening night, with approximately 65% of attendees traveling from outside Kosovo.
Opening night featured a headline performance from Katy Perry, whom Lipa watched from the audience before the pair shared a backstage dance that also went viral online. Throughout the weekend, she attended sets by Lewis Capaldi, Martin Garrix, Dhurata Dora and several other artists, even joining the crowd during Dora’s performance for a traditional Albanian-style dance while balancing a serving tray on her head.
