Ed Sheeran recently appeared on Jake Shane’s podcast “Therapuss with Jake Shane.” In the one-hour interview, the “Perfect” singer shared various experiences from his personal life and career, such as his beliefs in astrology and its impact on relationships, his dislike for airport security, and his past struggles as a musician. During the interview, Ed also praised fellow artists and shared his thoughts about Britney Spears’ debut single.

Host Jake Shane mentioned Britney Spears’ first single “…Baby One More Time,” and Ed took the opportunity to praise the song, hailing it as the best debut song of all time. He also expressed admiration for the lyrics, stating, “I think it’s top two or three best songs ever written.” Britney Spears wasn’t the only artist lauded by the British singer. He also praised Olivia Rodrigo and her first two albums, “SOUR” and “GUTS,” calling them “two unskippable records.”

In his appearance on “Therapuss with Jake Shane,” Ed also delved into his creative process, revealing that boredom is a significant source of his creative ideas. Additionally, he clarified that he never explicitly stated “I love you” to someone in his songs, but rather responded with “I love you too” after hearing the expression of love from the other person.
