The milestone puts Langley in a position few artists have reached since the chart launched in August 1958. “Choosin’ Texas” has now spent more weeks at No. 1 than Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, which each led for 19 weeks.

Ella Langley’s breakthrough first appeared on the Hot 100 in November 2025, before steadily building momentum into 2026. The song reached the top 10 in January and first climbed to No. 1 in February, beginning a run that has since turned the Alabama singer-songwriter into one of country music’s biggest crossover acts.

The latest chart also features significant movement elsewhere. Karol G’s “BbY WOW,” featuring Judeline and rusowsky, rises into the top 10 at No. 10, while Stella Lefty’s “Boston” holds at No. 2 and Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” remains at No. 3. Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” rebounds to No. 4 after debuting at No. 2.
