Currently, Halsey is in Mumbai, India, and she just performed at Lollapalooza India. Before the performance, she announced that the show would be the last of the “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” era. Building even more anticipation is a website link — formylasttrick.com — that appeared on the screen during her set. Fans wasted no time searching the website, and what they found are several stickers, including a cigarette, a ghost with the writing ‘you won’t find me here,’ and the date January 27, 2014, a clear reference to the release date of her breakout single “Ghost.” Other details that emerged include two photos that fans think are related to cover arts for H5.
Halsey’s most recent LP, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” was released in 2021, and the tour in support of the album concluded last November 3. The record was a concept album that Halsey explained as being about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth, with the official cover inspired by Jean Fouquet’s painting ‘Virgin and Child Surrounded by Angels.’ The album was met with critical acclaim and received a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.
Last year, the award-winning artist parted ways with her longtime label Capitol Records following the controversy over the single “So Good.” In 2022, the singer denounced that the label didn’t allow her to release the song despite a music video being shot. In the end, the song was released in June 2022, and Halsey signed a recording deal with Columbia Records the following year.
