Harry Styles gave fans a brief scare during his June 26 concert at Wembley Stadium after unexpectedly collapsing while performing the final song of the night. Although the moment quickly sparked concern online, the incident was later revealed to have been caused by an accidental water mishap rather than a medical emergency.
The moment unfolded during “As It Was,” the closing song of the show. As part of a long-running concert tradition, Styles performed his signature “whale” stunt by taking a sip of water and spraying it high into the air toward the audience. This time, however, he accidentally inhaled or choked on some of the water.
Video captured by fans showed the singer immediately clutching his chest before falling backward onto the stage. Styles remained conscious throughout the incident but stayed on the floor for roughly 15 to 30 seconds while coughing and trying to catch his breath. At one point, he loosened his tie and repeatedly hit his chest as he attempted to recover.
Audience members initially feared the collapse could have been related to London’s ongoing heatwave or exhaustion from his demanding Wembley residency. Those concerns were eased moments later when Styles stood back up, smiled, waved to reassure the crowd and finished the performance without any additional issues.
According to TMZ, the brief collapse was specifically the result of choking during the water stunt and was not connected to dehydration, heat exhaustion or any underlying health issue.
The scare comes during one of the biggest touring achievements of Styles’ career. His Together, Together Tour supports his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., released in March 2026. Rather than following a traditional world tour format, the production visits only seven cities through extended residencies.
London has become the centerpiece of that strategy. Styles is performing 12 sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium between June 12 and July 4, surpassing Coldplay’s previous venue record of 10 shows in a single year. Country icon Shania Twain serves as the special guest throughout the London dates before the tour moves on to additional residency stops, including a massive 30-night run at Madison Square Garden later this year.
