Harry Styles has set a new benchmark at Madison Square Garden before a single note of his upcoming residency has been played. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Ticketmaster confirmed that the presale for the Together, Together Tour generated 11.5 million registrations for the New York dates alone, the highest figure ever recorded for an artist presale in the market. The company also described it as the largest presale registration performance for any single-market or residency-style run to date.
Harry Styles’ 30-night run at Madison Square Garden, scheduled between August and October, is already historic in scope. Once completed, it will further extend his record as one of the most frequent solo headliners in the venue’s history. The residency anchors the Together, Together Tour, which marks his return to the stage following the blockbuster Love On Tour, one of the highest-grossing tours of the past decade.
The record-setting presale arrives amid mounting controversy. As presales opened on January 26, fan enthusiasm quickly collided with frustration over pricing. While promotional materials advertised entry-level tickets starting at $50, many fans reported encountering standard seated prices ranging from $300 to $700. VIP packages climbed as high as $1,180.
Much of the backlash has focused on Ticketmaster’s Official Platinum pricing model, which allows ticket prices to fluctuate in real time based on demand. Screenshots shared online showed upper-level seats rising dramatically within minutes during checkout.
Still, the numbers remain undeniable. The 11.5 million registrations highlight a level of anticipation rarely seen in the modern touring landscape. Together, Together also supports Styles’ forthcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., due March 6. Its lead single, “Aperture,” delivered the biggest Spotify debut of the year so far.
