The InMusic Song of the Summer 2026 race has officially reached Round 2, with 16 songs surviving the opening round of fan voting. The remaining field spans pop, hip-hop, R&B, K-pop and alternative, with Olivia Rodrigo, KATSEYE, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and others still in contention for the title.
After the first round of voting on InMusic’s Instagram Stories, half of the original 32-song field has been eliminated. The second round now brings together songs that defined different corners of the summer.
Fans can follow the Round 2 voting through InMusic’s Instagram Stories and decide which tracks continue their run toward the 2026 Song of the Summer crown.

KATSEYE has emerged as one of the biggest forces in the bracket, with three songs still alive. “Pinky Up,” “Hottie Frutti” and the LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE collaboration “Iconic By Mistake” all advanced, giving the group multiple paths toward the final rounds.
Olivia Rodrigo also enters Round 2 with two contenders. “Stupid Song” and “The Cure” both survived the opening round, adding to a summer that has already been defined by Rodrigo’s third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units, while “Drop Dead” became another No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit.
Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” remains in the competition after its blockbuster start to the summer. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Elsewhere, Cardi B’s “Ah Ha” moves forward alongside ADÉLA’s “Ain’t In LA.”
Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” Karol G, Judeline and Rusowsky’s “Bby Wow,” LISA and Anyma’s “Bad Angel” and other major summer records have already fallen from the competition, leaving the remaining 16 songs to fight for the fan vote.
