JENNIE made Governors Ball history on Sunday night (June 7), becoming the first K-pop soloist ever to perform in a headline-level slot at the New York festival. Taking over the Snapchat Stage at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the BLACKPINK star delivered a high-energy set packed with tracks from Ruby, fan favorites, and several unreleased songs that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Already riding the success of Ruby, a widely discussed Met Gala appearance, and a string of high-profile festival performances, JENNIE arrived at Governors Ball as one of the weekend’s most anticipated acts. Her appearance also places her in exclusive company, becoming only the second K-pop act overall to headline at Governors Ball, following Stray Kids’ historic top-billed performance the previous day.

Backed by a live band, towering LED screens, dramatic staircases, and cinematic visual effects, JENNIE commanded the stage for approximately one hour.

Fans were also treated to multiple unreleased tracks. Alongside performances of established solo hits including “Mantra,” “Love Hangover,” “Seoul City,” and “like JENNIE,” the singer debuted songs believed to be titled “One Night / Lock It Down,” “Little Less,” and an untitled track, hinting that new music could be closer than many expected.

The set arrived during a remarkable year for JENNIE. Following the release of Ruby, she became the first female K-pop solo artist to place three songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. Her remix of Tame Impala’s “Dracula” later earned her first top-10 hit on the chart.
