Lady Gaga appeared on The Howard Stern Show, where she performed “Abracadabra” and “Perfect Celebrity” from her new album Mayhem and shared how Bruno Mars first came up with the idea for “Die With a Smile.” When asked if Bruno had brought her the song, she explained, “He had the idea—he started it, and then we finished it together.” She also revealed that they put in long hours to craft the track, sometimes working late into the night. “We were in the studio until 5 in the morning,” she said. “I’m not opposed to being in the studio at 5 PM, but 5 AM is fun too.”
During the interview, Gaga also praised the “24K Magic” singer, admitting that she was “super excited” to collaborate with him and had wanted to work together for a long time. “It was awesome to make a beautiful love song together,” she concluded.
