The nominees for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) are here—and it’s a star-studded field. Lady Gaga tops the list with a remarkable 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrick Lamar with 10.
Next in line are Rosé and Sabrina Carpenter, each earning eight nods. They’re followed by Ariana Grande and The Weeknd (seven nominations), then Billie Eilish with six, and Charli XCX with five. Rounds of stars including Bad Bunny, Doechii, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, and Tate McRae each earned four nominations.
This year marks the addition of two new VMA categories: Best Country Artist, and Best Pop Artist.
The 2025 VMAs will take place on September 7 at UBS Arena in New York City. The event will be simulcast live on CBS and MTV, and available to stream via Paramount+.
