BLACKPINK’s LISA appears to have distanced herself from Wasserman Music, following growing scrutiny surrounding the company’s leadership. While no official statement has been issued by LISA or her management company, LLOUD, fans have noted that a previously published announcement confirming a global touring partnership with the agency has been removed from LLOUD’s platforms.
The move comes amid renewed controversy tied to recently unsealed U.S. Department of Justice documents connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The files referenced past correspondence between Casey Wasserman, founder and CEO of the Wasserman Group, and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted in 2021 on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges linked to Epstein. The documents detailed flirtatious email exchanges dating back to 2003, as well as Wasserman’s acknowledgment that he flew once on Epstein’s private plane in 2002 for a humanitarian trip organized by the Clinton Foundation. Wasserman has denied any further relationship with Epstein and has publicly expressed regret over the correspondence, stating it occurred before Maxwell’s crimes were known.
The revelations prompted backlash across parts of the music industry in early 2026. Several artists either exited the agency or publicly criticized it. Chappell Roan confirmed her departure, citing personal values. Others, including Laufey, Orville Peck, and Weyes Blood, were reported to have cut ties or reconsidered their affiliations.
LISA signed with Wasserman Music in late 2025 for worldwide touring representation, marking a significant step in the expansion of her solo career. The agreement was facilitated through LLOUD, the independent management company she launched in 2024 following her departure from YG Entertainment’s exclusive structure for solo activities. The partnership was positioned as a strategic move to strengthen her global touring presence.
The apparent removal of the announcement has fueled speculation that LISA may be reassessing that relationship. However, without confirmation from either party, it remains unclear whether a formal termination has taken place or whether discussions are ongoing behind the scenes.
