Louis Tomlinson is officially entering a new era. The English singer-songwriter has announced his highly anticipated third studio album, How Did I Get Here?, set for release on January 23, 2026.

The announcement follows weeks of speculation after mysterious posters appeared in major cities around the world bearing the cryptic phrase “Louis’ Lemonade.” Fans quickly linked the campaign to Tomlinson, and on September 16, a new website — louis-lemonade.com — went live, fueling excitement for new music.

That speculation proved right when Tomlinson released the album’s lead single, “Lemonade,” on September 30. Overall, it’s confirmed that the LP will feature 12 tracks, with “Lemonade” as opening song.

How Did I Get Here? follows Tomlinson’s 2022 album Faith in the Future and marks the next step in his solo career since his days in One Direction. Tomlinson first teased the project in January 2024, when he revealed he had started to form ideas for new music. By April 2025, he described the record as “sunny,” hinting at a lighter, more optimistic sound compared to his earlier work. In May, he shared a photo from inside the recording studio, confirming that progress was underway.

By July 2025, the album was completed. Much of its inspiration came from Tomlinson’s time in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, a trip that left a creative mark on the record. The project was produced with Nico Rebscher.

The album is scheduled to arrive on January 23, 2026, nearly four years after Faith in the Future. That album, released in November 2022 through BMG, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, marking his highest-charting release yet. For now, fans can stream “Lemonade” and mark their calendars for January 23, when How Did I Get Here? officially drops.
