The Queen of Pop is gearing up for a major comeback. In an Instagram post, Madonna confirmed that new music is on the way in 2025. She shared a photo from the studio with Grammy-winning producer Stuart Price, who produced her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor and has also worked with other pop icons such as Kylie Minogue and Gwen Stefani. The caption left no doubt: “Working on new music with Stuart Price these past few months has been medicine for my SOUL.” She added, “Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025?”

The news has been met with great excitement from fans. “Shaking, waiting, anticipating,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, “Best early Christmas gift ever: Madonna confirms new music is coming in 2025—and she’s been working on it with Stuart Price for months.”

Madonna’s most recent full-length album, Madame X, was released in June 2019. The record, heavily influenced by her time spent in Portugal, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the global hit “Medellín,” featuring Maluma. Since then, the pop legend has embarked on the Madame X Tour, released a live album from the tour, and celebrated her milestone of 50 No. 1s on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart with the 2022 compilation album Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones.
