Karol G closed Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026 with a career-defining performance on April 12, becoming the first Latina artist to headline and close the main stage. Running close to two hours, the set transformed the desert into a full-scale Latin celebration—quickly dubbed “Karolchella” across social media.
Energy remained high from the opening moments as Karol G moved seamlessly between eras. Material from Mañana Será Bonito anchored the show, while newer Tropicoqueta dominated most of the show. She also performed hits like “Tusa” and “Provenza.”
Collaborations shaped key segments of the performance. Mariah Angeliq and Becky G joined her onstage, adding momentum to an already stacked set. Wisin delivered an extended medley. Midway through the show, Karol G introduced an unreleased track alongside Cigarettes After Sex.
Tribute also played a role. A cover of “Mi Tierra” by Gloria Estefan brought a sense of lineage to the set, connecting generations of Latin pop on one of the world’s most visible stages.
