Mariah the Scientist has unveiled the official tracklist and cinematic trailer for her highly anticipated fourth studio album, Hearts Sold Separately. The project, set for release on August 22 through Buckles Laboratories and Epic Records, marks a defining moment for the Atlanta-born singer, as the first two singles have already achieved massive success. The trailer extends the military-inspired narrative first introduced in her “Burning Blue” music video. Directed with cinematic flair, it features appearances from Michelle “Chelly” Bissainthe of Love Island fame and rapper Karrahboo, while also revealing the official tracklist for Hearts Sold Separately. The LP will include 10 tracks, with Kali Uchis as the sole featured artist.

The album rollout began with the success of “Burning Blue”—her breakout single and first Top 25 entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Within a few months, the song became one of the biggest R&B releases of 2025, earning Gold certification for selling 500,000 units in the U.S. and topping both the Rhythmic and Urban Radio charts. Riding that momentum, Mariah returned with “Is It a Crime” featuring Kali Uchis, a sultry collaboration built on sharp songwriting and lush production from Matt1k and Nineteen85.
Hearts Sold Separately follows 2023’s To Be Eaten Alive, an album that boasted heavyweight features from Young Thug, 21 Savage, and Vory but received a mixed response. Two years later, Mariah shifts the focus back to her own artistry with a 10-track project that emphasizes her voice, with nine solo songs and one collaboration.
