Machine Gun Kelly’s Lost Americana has been crowned Best New Release of the Week by fans, dominating our latest X (formerly Twitter) poll with 63% of the vote. The Cleveland artist’s first album in three years faced competition from Ed Sheeran’s “A Little More” (11%), Gunna’s The Last Wun (9%), and Jonas Brothers’ Greetings from Your Hometown (17%).

Released August 8, Lost Americana marks a creative turning point for MGK, blending sharp rock instincts with autobiographical storytelling. Described by the artist as his “most emotionally honest and ambitious work to date,” the record pulls no punches in exploring identity, fame, and the fractured ideals of modern America. Its rollout began with the singles “Cliché,” “Vampire Diaries,” and “Miss Sunshine,” and was amplified by a cinematic trailer narrated by Bob Dylan.

In the poll’s runner-up slot, the Jonas Brothers’ Greetings from Your Hometown charmed fans with its nostalgic pop-rock energy and high-profile collaborations, including Switchfoot, Dean Lewis, and Marshmello. Ed Sheeran’s “A Little More,” the fourth single from his upcoming eighth album Play, came in third, buoyed by a video that revisits Rupert Grint’s obsessive fan character from 2011’s “Lego House.” Gunna’s The Last Wun rounded out the lineup, marking his final release under YSL Records and hinting at an Afrobeat and dancehall influence through collaborations with Offset, WizKid, Burna Boy, and Asake.
