Normani is once again fueling speculation about a possible Fifth Harmony comeback. On Thursday, January 29, the singer attended the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert 2026 at Jazz at Lincoln Center, where a brief red carpet exchange quickly caught fans’ attention. Asked directly about the chances of a Fifth Harmony reunion this year, Normani chose her words carefully but did not shut the door. “New music? I can’t speak to,” she said with a smile. “There’s some great things in the works.”
The comment, though deliberately vague, was enough to reignite conversation around the future of the chart-topping girl group nearly a decade after its original run. Fifth Harmony — Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui — has been quietly stoking reunion rumors since 2025. Late last year, the four members reunited onstage for a surprise appearance during the Jonas Brothers’ tour, marking their first live performance together in years. Camila Cabello, who exited the group in 2016, was not involved.
Normani’s remarks also arrive at a moment of transition in her solo career. Recently, she told Billboard that 2026 would bring significant developments, hinting at both creative growth and renewed momentum. “I have so many tricks up my sleeve,” she said at the launch party for her SHEIN fashion collaboration. “I’m very excited. A lot to look forward to and be excited about in 2026.”
Many have also noted that Normani’s name quietly disappeared from RCA Records’ official artist roster in mid-December. While neither party has confirmed a split, the timing has fueled speculation that she may be preparing for a new chapter with greater artistic freedom.
That potential shift follows the release of Dopamine, her long-awaited debut solo album, which arrived in June 2024. Though its chart performance was modest, the album earned critical praise for its honesty, refined R&B sound, and collaborations with Cardi B, James Blake, and Victoria Monét.
