Olivia Rodrigo is keeping the momentum behind You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love rolling. Just hours after securing the biggest album debut of her career, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter announced a special radio show airing today, June 22, across two Southern California public radio stations.

The announcement arrived via Rodrigo’s Instagram Stories, where she revealed that she will host an audio-only broadcast beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET. Fans can tune in through KUCI 88.9 FM in Irvine and Orange County, as well as The SoCal Sound (KCSN 88.5 FM), which serves the Los Angeles area.

Unlike many artist-hosted specials that rely on livestreams or video content, Rodrigo’s event is centered entirely around radio. Listeners can access the broadcast through the stations’ official streams, TuneIn, Radio Garden, station apps, or the dedicated link shared by the singer.

The timing is notable. Olivia Rodrigo enters the broadcast following one of the most successful opening weeks of 2026. Her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units earned during its first week.

That figure established the largest opening week of the year by any solo artist, surpassing Drake’s ICEMAN, which launched with 463,000 units earlier this year. The release also delivered the biggest debut by a female artist in 2026, easily overtaking Ella Langley’s Dandelion, which opened with 169,000 units.

Commercially, the project marks a new peak for Rodrigo. Guts debuted with 302,000 units in 2023, while Sour launched with 295,000 units in 2021. The new album outperformed both releases by a significant margin, extending her streak of opening every studio album at No. 1.

Streaming numbers have been equally impressive. During its first seven days, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love generated 401.7 million streams on Spotify globally, becoming the fifth-largest streaming week ever recorded by a female artist on the platform. Lead singles “Drop Dead” and “The Cure” helped drive anticipation, while album cut “Stupid Song” emerged as a breakout success, spending eight consecutive days atop Spotify’s Daily Global Chart.
