ROSÉ and Bruno Mars have added another award for their global hit “APT.” The duo took home International Collaboration of the Year at the 2025 NRJ Music Awards, held on October 31 in Cannes, France. With this victory, ROSÉ officially becomes the first female K-pop artist in history to win an NRJ Award.
In a heartfelt recorded acceptance speech, ROSÉ thanked her international fanbase for their support. “I’m so so grateful for every single one of you,” she said. “For loving and supporting my song and my music — merci beaucoup.” The win marks another achievement for “APT.” which has already earned Song of the Year at the MTV VMAs and two Asian Pop Music Awards earlier this season.

Released on October 18, 2024, through The Black Label and Atlantic Records, “APT.” brought together the distinct sounds of ROSÉ and Bruno Mars. The track served as the lead single from ROSÉ’s debut studio album Rosie and became an instant cultural moment.
Commercially, “APT.” proved unstoppable. The single spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, making it the longest-running global No. 1 of 2024. It also topped South Korea’s Circle Digital Chart for ten consecutive weeks and became the first song by a K-pop female soloist to reach No. 1 on Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart.
The song dominated streaming platforms and broke multiple records, becoming the fastest music video by an Asian act to surpass one billion YouTube views and the fastest K-pop song to reach one billion Spotify streams.
At the 2025 NRJ Music Awards, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga were also among the night’s major winners, taking home International Artist of the Year (Male and Female, respectively), while Alex Warren was crowned Best New International Artist.
