Sabrina Carpenter is closing out 2025 on a high note. The pop star’s new album, Man’s Best Friend, has officially been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), recognizing over one million certified units sold in the United States.
Carpenter reacted to the milestone in her signature witty style, reposting the news on X (formerly Twitter) with a brief but heartfelt message: “i want to make a joke but I’m choosing gratitude this season. thank you.”

Released earlier this year, Man’s Best Friend cemented Carpenter’s status as one of pop’s most consistent hitmakers. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking her second chart-topping record in the U.S., and broke multiple streaming records — including the most streams in a single day by a female artist in 2025 on Spotify, a record later broken by Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl. In its first week, the project moved 366,000 album-equivalent units. Just last week, Man’s Best Friend further expanded its impact by receiving six Grammy nominations.
Led by the infectious hit single “Manchild,” the album blends Carpenter’s sharp lyricism with confident, genre-blurring production from longtime collaborators Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff. The track — a playful yet cutting take on male immaturity — became an instant success, soaring to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It, too, has now earned Platinum certification from the RIAA.
The success of Man’s Best Friend places Carpenter among pop’s most dominant forces this year. She joins Cardi B (Am I the Drama?), Lady Gaga (Mayhem), Tate McRae (So Close to What), Drake and PartyNextDoor (Some Sexy Songs 4 U), and Alex Warren (You’ll Be Alright, Kid) as one of the few artists with a Platinum-certified 2025 album.
