In the early stages of their careers, Taylor and Selena developed a deep friendship that has now lasted more than a decade. In a recent interview with Jake Shane, Gomez recounted the moment with vivid clarity. “It wasn’t released yet. It was in a hotel room,” she said. “I remember it vividly. It was one of those songs I instantly heard and thought, this is one of the most beautiful songs ever.”
