On Monday night (October 27), Kevin Parker and his band launched the long-awaited Deadbeat Tour at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — their first full-scale run since 2022. The show marked the live debut of several tracks from Deadbeat, Tame Impala’s fifth studio album, which arrived earlier this month via Columbia Records. Among the highlights of the night were live debuts of “Loser,” “Afterthought,” “Ethereal Connection,” and “My Old Ways.”
The tour launch arrived as Deadbeat made its debut on global charts. It entered at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, moving 70,000 equivalent album units in its first week. In the UK, the album also debuted at No. 4. Now, it’s time to bring the new material to the stage. After the North American leg — which features stops in Chicago, Austin, and Los Angeles — Tame Impala will head to Europe in 2026.
