Taylor Swift has set yet another record. Her 2017 album Reputation has officially crossed 10 billion streams on Spotify, making it her fourth album to achieve the milestone. With this feat, Swift becomes the first artist in history to have four different albums surpass 10 billion streams. The other records to reach the mark include 1989, Lover, and Midnights.
The achievement adds another chapter to the legacy of Reputation, an album that marked a sharp creative shift for the pop icon. Released on November 10, 2017, the project embraced darker tones, industrial synths, and booming basslines, signaling a departure from the polished pop of 1989. Songs like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready For It?” introduced fans to a bolder, unapologetic Taylor, while tracks such as “Delicate,” “End Game,” and “New Year’s Day” balanced the record with moments of vulnerability.

Upon release, Reputation was both a commercial juggernaut and a cultural reset. It sold 700,000 copies in the U.S. on its first day alone and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 1.238 million units in its opening week. The album ultimately spent four consecutive weeks at the top and went on to become one of the defining pop records of the late 2010s.
Nearly eight years later, Swift is preparing for a new chapter, both musically and personally. On October 3, she will release her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, arriving just over a year after the record-breaking The Tortured Poets Department. She also recently announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, marking a unique moment in her life.
