Taylor Swift has officially joined The Beatles in one of the rarest achievements in music history. With The Life of a Showgirl continuing its chart-topping run, Swift now ties the legendary British band as one of only two artists ever to have a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 for seven consecutive years.
According to Billboard, Swift’s streak began in 2019 with Lover and has continued unbroken through 2025 with The Life of a Showgirl, her twelfth studio album. The Beatles achieved the same accomplishment between 1964 and 1970, during their era-defining run that included A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, and Abbey Road.

This week, The Life of a Showgirl debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with over 4 million equivalent album units, the biggest debut week in Billboard history. The album surpasses Adele’s 25 (3.48 million units) and extends Swift’s record as the solo artist with the most No. 1 albums ever — 15 in total — trailing only The Beatles’ 19.
Her latest No. 1 comes amid a flurry of accolades. Showgirl also broke the all-time vinyl sales record, moving 1.334 million copies in its opening week, and generated over 680 million U.S. streams, one of the largest streaming debuts ever.
Beyond the album charts, Taylor continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100. All 12 songs from The Life of a Showgirl debuted in the top 12, led by the No. 1 hit “The Fate of Ophelia,” marking her 13th chart-topping single. The track also became only the second in history to debut at No. 1 without any digital sales, relying entirely on streaming and radio airplay — a feat previously achieved only by Aaliyah’s “Try Again” in 2000.
