Another month is behind us, and October was packed with an exciting mix of new music. Leading the charge was Taylor Swift with her record-breaking twelfth album The Life of a Showgirl, which spawned two massive hits: “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Opalite.” Meanwhile, Jisoo and Zayn joined forces for one of the best duets of the year. “Eyes Closed” was met with high praise from fans, earning the title of InMusic’s Song of the Month for October 2025 — one of the largest wins since our first installment in 2020.
October also brought several other highlights. Demi Lovato returned to her dance-pop roots with the new album It’s Not That Deep. Madison Beer continued to build anticipation for her upcoming third album Locket with the second single “Bittersweet.” Tyla closed out the month with the infectious “Chanel.” New music also arrived from Selena Gomez, LE SSERAFIM, Rosalía, and Lily Allen.
As every month, we gathered the 16 most defining songs of October and invited fans to vote for their favorite through an Instagram poll. After tallying votes from each round, we’ve compiled the top 16 songs of October 2025.
