Yesterday (July 27), Taylor Swift kicked off the first of two shows at the Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany. As with every stop on The Eras Tour, the stadium was packed to capacity with enthusiastic German Swifties filling every seat. Outside the stadium, a nearby hill offered a view into the venue, and fans quickly claimed every available spot.

Shortly after the show began, photos of fans crowding the hill went viral on social media. The hill transformed into a “sea” of Swifties, creating a remarkable visual spectacle. Even Taylor was impressed by the sight, commenting, “We have people in a park outside the stadium, thousands of people listening from out there.” But just how many fans were enjoying the free show? According to estimates from the German police, around 40,000 people were perched on the hill outside the stadium. Inside, the show was sold out with over 70,000 fans. Altogether, more than 110,000 people experienced Taylor Swift’s concert!

Tonight, Taylor will perform the second and final show in Munich, concluding a month that saw The Eras Tour travel through Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
