Patriotic anthems dominated Spotify on July 4, but the biggest song in the world belonged to the FIFA World Cup. Toby Keith, Bruce Springsteen, and Miley Cyrus all enjoyed major streaming gains following the U.S. holiday, while Shakira and Burna Boy continued their reign atop Spotify’s global chart.

Leading the surge was Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American),” which climbed to a new peak of No. 6 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart with 3.64 million streams. The song performed even better in the United States, reaching No. 1 on the US Spotify Chart with more than 3.5 million domestic streams, reflecting its continued popularity during Independence Day celebrations.
