Tyla appears ready to take A*POP around the world. Just days after releasing her sophomore album on July 24, the Grammy-winning South African star shared a sleek teaser video hinting at an upcoming world tour, flashing the names of cities across Africa, Europe, and North America.

The brief visual quickly sparked excitement among fans as locations including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Paris, London, Toronto, and Los Angeles appeared on screen, suggesting the singer is preparing her biggest headline tour to date. While no dates or venues have been announced, the teaser strongly points to a global trek supporting A*POP.

The potential tour arrives during a busy rollout for Tyla’s second studio album, a 14-track project blending amapiano, pop, and R&B. The record includes the previously released singles “Chanel,” “She Did It Again” featuring Zara Larsson, and “Is It,” all of which helped build anticipation throughout 2026. Early projections currently place the album on track for roughly 12,000 first-week units in the United States.

Commercially, A*POP made an immediate impact on Spotify. The album generated 4.82 million streams during its first full day of release, although none of its individual songs entered Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global or U.S. charts on July 24. Leading the album was “That Girl,” which opened with 925K streams, followed by “Chanel” with 659K and “She Did It Again” with 582K

Despite the absence of Daily Global chart entries, the album campaign had already accumulated significant momentum before release. Thanks to its pre-release singles, A*POP has surpassed 550 million Spotify streams across its tracklist. “Chanel” alone has approached 400 million streams, becoming one of Tyla’s biggest international hits after reaching No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100. Collaborations including “She Did It Again” with Zara Larsson and fan favorite “Is It” also established a strong foundation before the full album arrived.

The project represents a personal milestone for the singer. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Tyla explained that A*POP reflects a more confident version of herself following the whirlwind success of her debut. “Me being in it, I feel so different to how I felt during the first album,” she said. “I’m just excited for my new one… I feel like a woman.”

A world tour would naturally build on the success of 2025’s We Wanna Party Tour, Tyla’s first headline run.
