Tyler, The Creator is bringing his unmistakable creative vision to football, fashion and music with a new Spotify and FC Barcelona collaboration. The rapper and designer has become the ninth artist to take over the front of the club’s jersey through its partnership with Spotify, with his GOLF WANG logo set to feature on the team’s shirt for El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 25.

Unlike previous artist takeovers, the campaign gives Tyler full creative control over the project, extending beyond the jersey to include a dedicated fashion collection, a reveal film directed by the artist himself and an event in Barcelona.

The limited-edition jersey will be worn by FC Barcelona’s men’s team at Spotify Camp Nou for El Clásico, while FC Barcelona Femení will debut the design in its match on October 24. Inspired by the club’s founding year, the release will be restricted to 1,899 jerseys, available through Barça Official Stores in Spain and online from 10 a.m. CET on October 15.

Beyond the match-day shirt, the Spotify x GOLF x FC Barcelona collection expands into a broader lifestyle offering. Pieces include a letterman jacket, track jacket, zip hoodie, track pants, soccer shorts and long- and short-sleeved retro jerseys. Three T-shirt styles, including the GOL!!F graphic tee, add to the range, alongside accessories such as a scarf, skully, socks, a Nalgene bottle, a soccer ball, pins and stickers. The collection features brown, teal, burgundy, blue, black and white colorways, with FC Barcelona and GOLF WANG branding throughout.

The collection launches October 15 at GOLF stores in Los Angeles, New York City, Tokyo, Sydney and London, as well as online. The accompanying campaign will also extend into Barcelona’s nightlife with Copa De Golf, an event scheduled for October 23 that brings together football, fashion and music.

Yung Taco will headline the night with a DJ set, joined by Gabriela Richardson, Alu Nuenga, Duna and Mushkaa.

“Tyler doesn’t just bring his name to something — he brings his whole world,” said Marc Hazan, Spotify’s senior vice president of marketing and partnerships. He described the project as the company’s most exciting collaboration with FC Barcelona to date, pointing to Tyler’s involvement in the film, merchandise and event as key elements of the campaign.

Tyler emphasized that the creative opportunity was what persuaded him to participate. “I wanted to make sure everything we put out actually meant something — the jersey, the clothes, the film,” he said. “Hope people feel that.”

The collaboration builds on Spotify’s partnership with FC Barcelona, announced in 2022 and launched that July. The agreement made Spotify the club’s main partner and official audio streaming partner, placing its branding on the men’s and women’s team shirts and training apparel while renaming the stadium Spotify Camp Nou. The partnership also established the jersey as a platform for celebrating artists and connecting music with football on a global stage.

Previous jersey takeovers have featured Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Coldplay, KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA and Drake.
