Young Thug delivered one of the most nostalgic moments of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026 on April 12, when he surprised the crowd by bringing out Camila Cabello for a live performance of “Havana.” The appearance marked their first time performing the global hit together in years—and the first time Thug has performed the track live since 2018.
Midway through his 19-song set, Cabello emerged to perform the instantly recognizable “Havana, ooh na-na” hook, while Thug slid back into his signature verse. Their reunion onstage also marked their first joint performance since the 2019 Grammy Awards, reactivating one of late-2010s pop’s defining collaborations.
Originally released on August 3, 2017, “Havana” became a cultural and commercial juggernaut. The track topped the Billboard Hot 100, giving both artists their first No. 1, and went on to lead charts in 23 countries. Its music video, directed by Dave Meyers, won Video of the Year at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, while the single itself was later certified Diamond by the RIAA after surpassing 10 million units in the United States. The song also closed 2018 as the best-selling digital single globally, with 19 million equivalent units, according to IFPI.
Beyond the headline moment, Thug’s Coachella set doubled as a showcase for his latest material. Tracks from his recent album UY Scuti were woven throughout the performance. Guest appearances added to the night’s momentum, with Ty Dolla $ign joining for “Carnival” and “Check” in a birthday celebration segment, while NAV appeared for “Trimski.”
