After months of delays and speculation, Young Thug is finally ready to release his highly anticipated fourth studio album, UY Scuti. The project arrives tonight, September 26, via YSL Records, Atlantic Records, and 300 Entertainment. It marks his first full-length release since 2023’s Business Is Business and his first album since his release from prison in October 2024.

A Cosmic Title With Bigger Meaning
Named after UY Scuti, one of the largest known stars in the universe, the album reflects Thug’s belief in his place as a larger-than-life figure in modern rap. In a cover story with GQ, he explained: “I just feel big, you know. The name of my album is UY Scuti. I feel like I’m one of the biggest stars. I did a lot. Founded this culture. The new rap game that’s happening right now. I’m out of this world. Not like God, though.”
Features and Production
UY Scuti is stacked with major collaborations. No official tracklist has been unveiled, but Future, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Ken Carson, and Mariah the Scientist are expected to appear on the record. Production comes from a lineup of heavyweights, including Wheezy, Southside, and Metro Boomin.
The two lead singles have already set the tone. “Money on Money,” released in April with Future, arrived alongside a cinematic video and has racked up millions of streams. The second single, “Miss My Dogs,” dropped earlier this month with a raw video tribute to Thug’s crew and late friends.
A Return From Prison to the Studio
The album carries extra weight as Thug’s first project since his high-profile release from Fulton County Jail last year. After taking a plea deal in the long-running YSL RICO trial, he was freed under a structured sentence that included probation. Almost immediately, he returned to the studio, linking up with close collaborators like Future, Lil Baby, and Travis Scott.
In interviews, Thug described the creation process as uninterrupted despite incarceration: “I never lost my process. A lot of my ideas just come from UY Scuti—just come from space.” He also revealed that his girlfriend Mariah the Scientist appears on one of the album’s most personal tracks.
Hype and Delays
The road to UY Scuti has been full of teases and setbacks. Thug first announced the album in April 2025, with fan sightings of billboards in the California desert reading: “Universe has been too quiet. Until now. UY Scuti.” While originally slated for May, the album was delayed several times, building tension among fans who flooded social platforms demanding updates. Now, after nearly a year of anticipation, UY Scuti finally arrives.
